A true encounter between two icons of contemporary music: the story tells that the friendship of 2016 at New Morning in Paris – it is Tony Allen, pioneer of the movement afrobeat, which invites Jeff Mills, one of the fathers of the techno from Detroit, to join on stage.
Two years later, it’s an album that comes out: Tomorrow Comes The Harvest. Some pieces of rare intensity, which cleverly mix the transcendental rhythms of the former drummer Fela Kuti synthetic flights of the author of The Bells. Much more than a collaboration, this is a real hypnotic mix, serving only a groove as irresistible as cerebral.
